Vintage SIMCO USA metal separating zipper, measuring approximately 19 inches long.
Features black fabric tape with substantial silver-tone metal teeth and hardware and an extra-long metal zipper pull. The pull is marked SIMCO, and the reverse of the slider is stamped USA.
This is a one-way separating / open-end zipper. It completely separates into two pieces when fully unzipped, making it appropriate for jackets, coats, outerwear and other front-opening garments.
This would be particularly useful for vintage garment restoration, period clothing repair, workwear restoration, costume work, tailoring, sewing projects, or a collection of vintage American zipper hardware.
Measurements: Approximately 19 inches long.
Condition: Vintage used condition and appears to have been removed from a garment. The black fabric tape shows wear, lint/fibers and areas of discoloration. The upper tape ends are cut and heavily frayed with loose threads. There are remnants/evidence of previous stitching and installation. Metal teeth, slider, pull and separating hardware show scratches, surface wear, oxidation/discoloration and aged patina consistent with previous use and age. Please examine all photographs closely for the exact condition.
Function: Zipper has been tested and opens and closes properly.
