Vtg 1991 Sears LXI VHS Camcorder Video Camera 580.53833190 Case Bundle POWERS ON For Sale

Up for sale is a vintage 1991 Sears LXI Series full-size VHS video camcorder bundle (Model No. 580.53833190). This retro setup includes the original protective hardshell carrying case, user manuals, a set of AV cables, and the factory AC adapter/charger (Model VM-AC4M). Please note that the detachable DC output power cable that links the charging brick directly to the camera body is missing from this kit. However, the system was successfully power-tested using one of the included vintage battery packs, which managed to hold a brief charge. The electronic viewfinder successfully lights up and displays text ("TAPE"), confirming that the internal computer circuitry and tiny CRT screen are fully functional.

Cosmetically, the kit shows typical signs of age and wear. The external plastic of the AC adapter/charger brick has a few cracks and chips, though its attached power cord is in perfect physical condition with no exposed wires and the brick is confirmed operational. Additionally, the plastic electronic viewfinder assembly is missing its outer side-cover panel, leaving the internal circuit board, gears, and display components physically exposed as shown in the photos. The hardshell storage case remains structurally solid to protect the gear and happily comes complete with its original physical lock key.

Because the factory DC power cord is missing, the full mechanical operations of the unit—including tape loading, playback, recording, audio input, and lens motor functions—remain completely untested. Due to these unverified mechanical functions and the physical cosmetic damage to the viewfinder casing and power brick, this vintage bundle is being sold strictly AS-IS for parts or repair. Please review all provided gallery photos carefully to evaluate the exact cosmetic condition and to see everything included in this vintage electronics lot.
