Vintage Alex Colman California Psychedelic Floral Maxi Skirt | 1960s–70s | 100% CottonThis maxi skirt does not believe in blending in. Hot pink, orange, purple, and yellow flowers spill across a bright white ground, with a deep green center panel that makes the whole print pop. The substantial, textured cotton still feels remarkably crisp, and the colors are beautifully vivid.I purchased it as deadstock with its original paper production tag sewn into the front waistband, wore it once, and saved the tag. It will be included with the skirt. The sewn-in label reads Alex Colman California; the paper tag identifies the fabric as 100% cotton, the tagged size as 16, and the style as 1026.Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The fabric and color have a wonderfully fresh appearance. There are 2 tiny, pinhead-sized specks on the front waistband, shown in the photos.Measurements, taken flat:
Waist: 15.5\" (31\" around)
Hips: 22\" (44\" around)
Length: 39\"Please compare these with a skirt you own; the tagged vintage size 16 does not correspond reliably to a current size.A note for fellow label detectives: The paper tag bears WPL 10524, a number that also appears on Edith Flagg-labeled garments. WPL numbers identify a registered company involved in a garment’s production or marketing. I haven’t found documentation explaining its use on this Alex Colman skirt.
