Made in the United States. Does not have “No fault” language on brand tag, nor a material composition notation on the care tag. For these reasons, we believe this is an early 70’s example. Post dating 1972, as that’s when care tags were mandated, and predating 1976, as that’s when Wrangler switched to “No Fault” language on the branding tag
TLDR, 1972-1976 vintage
What we don’t know, for sure is if it’s a 124 or 126 model. There doesn’t seem to be distinct “tell”. Google assistant flips back and forth at the slightest pushback. It’s our first Wrangler denim jacket. Please message us if you know which one it is for certain
100% cotton denim. Believe it to be broken twill based on horizontal weaving, not diagonal
Has embroidered logo patch above chest pocket. Snap buttons for chest pockets, with the left one having a small hole for a pen or pencil to slide into. Unlined, no pocket bags. No code stamps that we could see on the buttons
Measurements:
Tagged as size 40, but we get closer to a 41-42 across
Shorter/cropped length at 22 inches
In excellent preloved condition. No major flaws to note. Objectively very well preserved for its age! The only thing we could fault it on is some of the button caps have wear to them
Please see all photos to review color, measurements, and condition
