Very Good Vintage Condition
- Finish & Luster: The chrome plating or polished aluminum retains a strong metallic shine with a bright, reflective gloss on the raised sunburst ridges and fluted side columns.
- Pitting & Pinholes: There is visible factory-inherent pitting (tiny pinholes) on the top surface. These are a natural characteristic of the sand-casting manufacturing process rather than damage or corrosion.
- Minor Tarnish & Discoloration: Slight dark oxidation or storage grime is present in the deep recessed grooves between the scalloped ridges. This gives the piece an authentic aged patina but could likely be lifted with a specialized metal cleaner.
- Scratches & Rubbing: There are minor micro-scratches and shelf wear along the lower bottom edge and high points, which is typical for vintage vanity items.
- Integrity: The piece is sturdy with no cracks, breaks, major dents, or structural warping along the rim or the top opening.
- Opening Rim: The interior lip of the central tissue slot appears smooth and intact without heavy jagged burrs or chipping to the plating.
