Vintage Ralph Lauren - Lauren Jean Company - Wide Flare, Paneled, Circle SkirtCreated in early 2000 under the Lauren Jean Company label.
Very unique piece. Plaid linen panels make up this wide flare (circle) skirt, giving it a ruffled, feminine look.Skirt is made up of 8 separate panels, approximately 15\" each, that flare out from the waist line in which they taper to a little less than 4\" each. Shirt is in excellent condition. All seams are tightly sewn and secure, all hardware (zipper and metal button) is securely attached and in perfect working order. Patchwork is made of 100% cotton and some pieces are hand sewn in areas to accent the look. Skirt has two lined hip pockets in front and a small watch pocket. Belt loops add a very nice touch along with the rear adjustable cinch waist. Please see all photos for details and precise measurement examples. I have included an example of an A-Line panel skirt as well as a circle skirt for your reference.
Skirt is Women\'s Size 6. Measurements are as follows: Waist: approximately 30\", but can be taken up or adjusted using rear cinch. Hips: 39\". Length 32\" which hits about 2 to 3 inches below the knee depending on your height. Bottom Hemline Ruffle spreads across to approximately 42\". We also laid the skirt out to see what the full circle measured in diameter which was approximately 39\". Based on that measurement, the total circumference of the hemline ruffle is 123\" around (according to Siri).
This is a great piece if you are a vintage RL fan, as it is no longer in production and I have not been able to find another one like it. It was purchased from an estate sale for one of the Southern Regional Directors of Ralph Lauren.
