I will be listing some great items from an estate of along time General Dynamics engineer. Many contractors models. All are fresh to the market and I will combine shipping.
Up for sale is an original vintage USAF General Dynamics YF-16 fighter jet airplane contractor promo desktop display prototype model dating from the 1970's. This was made as a reference model for the engineers working on this project. I am pretty sure the prototype model was hand made by the engineer team. Made of resign/plastic material. You can see the cast marks from when it was made on the tail wings. High quality model and is a one of a kind. The model is in very nice condition for its age. No chips or nicks, some patina to the plaque on the base, the model has no repairs and no cracks. The surface is a bit dirty and i have not tried to clean it. Some light wear to some of the decals. Base has no cracks or chips. Measures approx. 6 3/4" long by 4 3/8" tall. Being sold as found and seen in the photos. Glare spots are from the lights reflection and not on the actual item. Rare item and is a must for any collector. I will combine shipping on multiple wins. I can not find another example so I put a high price on the model. I am not sure the value, but seems pretty rare. I am open to offers.
