Item Details:- Canteen Stamped: \"U.S. 1918 - B.A. CO.\" (Produced by the Buckeye Aluminum Company, Wooster, Ohio)- Construction: Early two-piece welded vertical seam aluminum body with a domed, ribbed aluminum cap and original retaining chain.- Cover: Original khaki canvas insulated carrier with the early wire hanger attachment for an M1910 cartridge/pistol belt. Lift-the-dot snaps work as intended.
Condition Notes:The canteen shows honest combat/field wear with some standard cosmetic dents on the front face, adding great character. The screw cap threads smoothly and holds firm. The canvas cover shows age-toning and light fraying but remains structurally sound with tight stitching. No heavy corrosion. Please see all high-resolution photos for the exact condition.
