WWII German 84/98 III 98k Bayonet 44asw Horster.
The bayonet is marked “asw,” the German wartime manufacturer code for E. & F. Hörster of Solingen. The opposite side is numbered “2519” with an additional production-block marking.
Includes a period steel scabbard. Please note that the scabbard’s serial number does not match the bayonet.
The bayonet has wooden grips and a dark-finished blade with a full-length fuller. It remains in unrestored collectible condition, showing scratches, finish loss, discoloration, oxidation, and general wear consistent with its age and military use. The scabbard also displays surface wear, scratches, and finish loss.
This item has not been cleaned, polished, sharpened, or otherwise restored by the current owner.
