Whitey Ford Signed 1956 Sports Illustrated Yankees HOF w/ Original Agent COA
Original September 10, 1956 Sports Illustrated featuring New York Yankees pitching legend and Baseball Hall of Famer Whitey Ford on the cover.
The magazine is hand-signed by Whitey Ford in bold blue ink directly on the front cover. The autograph is large, clean and exceptionally well positioned beside Ford’s image.
A particularly nice feature of this piece is the accompanying original certification letter from Kevin M. Keating, identified on the letter as Whitey Ford’s agent and representative. The letter states:
“This letter is to certify that all autographed items from ‘Whitey’s’ are personally autographed by Whitey Ford.”
The certification is signed by Keating and is printed on stationery bearing the Baseball Hall of Fame design and “From the Desk of Edward Charles Ford.”

Condition
This is an original 1956 magazine and shows age and handling consistent with a publication approaching 70 years old. There is visible edge and spine wear, corner wear, surface creasing and general aging. The mailing label remains on the lower portion of the front cover.
Most importantly, the Whitey Ford autograph presents extremely well, with strong blue ink and excellent contrast against the light-colored cover.
