The product is a signed cover variant of the Wolverine Witchblade #1 comic book, featuring artwork by Michael Turner and signed by both Marc Silvestri and Michael Turner. This key issue from the Devil's Reign chapter 5 is a first printing and includes an extremely rare signed remarque by the late, great Michael Turner. The comic book falls under the genres of action, superheroes, and adventure, with characters such as Wolverine, Witchblade, and Mephisto, which is an unprecedented combination of characters from 3 different comic book franchises (Marvel, Image, & Top Cow). It was published by Top Cow Productions in 1997 and is intended for a general audience.
The awesome remarque was done in person by Turner at one of his last public appearances at SDCC, in 2007 I believe. He unfortunately passed in the summer of 2008. The Silvestri autograph was already on the cover when I purchased this book a couple years before Turner signed. I want to say it was about 2003-04 when I bought it. Michael Turner is one of my all time favorite artists, not only because of his amazing artwork, but more so because of the type of person he was. Even when his health was really failing him, he would be the last one there signing and doing sketches, until the last person was done. He didn’t have to do that, especially in his condition, so I really admired his love for the fans. May he rest in peace.
You rarely see remarques from Turner, so this is very special. I’ve been lucky enough to own 2 of his remarques (Fathom #1 is the other), and they are both available here on for the taking. I’m in need of some extra funds currently, so I’m letting go of several comics that I really wanted to keep forever in my pc. My loss is your gain.
