original \"highly tattooed men and women\" mail order catalogue of all the tattoo photos he sold at that time. only text entry descriptions of each photo he sold, no imagery in book except the cover.

condition: very aged and brittle, fraying a bit on edges of paper. the black spine binder has started to peel off. there are staples holding the catalog together and they are all still present and intact. no hard cover. the cover is same material as the pages inside.
Bernard Kobel sold unusual photographs, including “HIGHLY TATTOOED MEN & WOMEN”, through a mail order business that he ran for many years in Clearwater, Florida, until 1971. The photos he sold were generally 5X7 inches and are identified by his hand written number, in pencil, on the back of the photo, to catalogue and identify the tattooed person on the front of the photo. These numbers were inscribed in the format of T-X where X was a number such as T-2 and so on. Photos exist that have numbers, in sequence, from T-1 to T-1756 Today these photos are generally referred to as “Kobels” by collectors.
