This is a rare late-1940s / early-1950s Actionrod Model 1966 tubular glass spinning rod. This is one of the first models and it features the original Actionrod logo that was replaced soon after this model was produced. The 1953 advertisement shown in the photos (which is not part of this listing - only included for context) shows and describes the Model 1966 and its specs, copied here:
