Manganese GlassUranium glass is a really cool item to collect, and like many beginners, we fell into the belief that all glass that glows green under a black light was uranium glass. Nearly all vintage clear glass is manganese glass. During the mid and later 1800\'s, virtually all American glass companies were using manganese in their glass formula. Around 1915, the use of manganese was discontinued as a clarifying andstabilizing agent. There is a lot of misinformation on uranium glass as \"clear glass\" and if there is uranium in \"clear glass\', the glass is almost completely colorless. We perform three checks on our glass: 365nm backlight, 395nm backlight, and Geiger counter before we list our glass. If we find an error, we correct it immediately.
