Product Description1"Fuel Transfer Hose 20FT for Diesel, Gasoline, Kerosene & Petroleum-Based Fluid
Get this 1" Fuel Transfer Hose, 20' Long Anti-static Hose for Gasoline, Diesel, and petroleum-based fuels from Mytee Products. This anti-slip fuel transfer hose is useful for refueling trucks, tractors, machinery, or generators. It is also ideal for fuel transferring from storage tanks to equipment. The other required details of this product are as provided below:
- Size: This fuel transfer hose is 20' long to provide an ideal working distance between fuel storage and the equipment being fueled. The 1" inside diameter of the NPT male threaded ends at both sides makes it easy for the user to connect it with standard fuel transfer equipment.
- Durable Construction: The inner tube is made from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) that helps the fuel hose stay safe during use with petroleum products, oil, and fuel. The reinforcement layer gives the hose additional strength and flexibility. The outer cover of the hose is black NBR rubber made to protect it from external wear, abrasion, and environmental exposure.
- Application: This anti-static hose is useful for transferring fuels. It can be used with manual or electric fuel pumps for safely refuelling vehicles, machinery, or storage tanks. It works well with diesel, kerosene, gasoline, and other petroleum-based fuels. It is commonly used with diesel generator refuelling systems, and is also suitable for farms, workshops, garages, and small fuel stations.
- Ideal Working Conditions: The fuel transfer hose works efficiently under 50 PSI, and it can handle maximum pressure up to 200 PSI before failure. The ideal working temperature for this product is -22°F to 131°F, making it ideal for both cold and warm environments.
- Anti-static Design: Anti-static design means the hose can safely “bleed off” static electricity generated during fuel transfer, protecting against sparks and explosions. It helps to avoid ignition hazards, making it safe to use for fuel transfer systems.
How to Use it
- Both ends of this fuel hose have NPT male threads. Connect one end to the outlet of the pump or tank fitting and the other end to a fuel nozzle or another pipe fitting.
- Now, seal the connection by using thread sealant tape or pipe dope to reduce leakages.
- Once installation is complete, turn on the pump so that fuel starts flowing from the tank via the hose.
- Turn off the pump to stop the flow of fuel when your work is done.
Safety Considerations
- Use only for diesel, kerosene, or gasoline (do not use chemicals, as it’s not rated for them).
- Stay within the 50 PSI working pressure limit.
- Ground your pump/tank to avoid static sparks.
- Wear gloves and eye protection when handling fuel.
Maintenance Tips
- Keep the fuel hose in a cool, dry place, mainly away from direct sunlight to minimize rubber damage.
- Try to keep the hose laid out straight or with gentle curves to avoid sharp bends or kinks.
