Spring 2026 We are currently caught up on silkie orders and you should receive your order within one week. However, summer time is unpredictable for laying hens so please contact me if you are concerned about the wait time. We do everything we can to move your orders quickly.
You are purchasing Silkie hatching eggs. We sell most of our silkie eggs as hens choice, so you may receive eggs from any of the following FOUR breeding pens. ALL of our silkies are bearded and crested, have 5 toes, no split wing or major faults. Our silkie bloodlines are breeder quality, from well known breeders, and without major defects. Please remember that recessive traits can ALWAYS pop up and that breeders only keep a few of the very best birds every year for their breeding coops.
Pen 1 is a black/paint pen. My rooster is black split to paint. I also have a paint rooster in this pen currently. I have 6 black hens and 5 paint hens. Frizzles ARE possible from this pen. Satins ARE possible from this pen. Modified frizzles are also possible from this pen.
Pen 2 is an all-white pen. This pen is the only pen that does not have any satins or frizzles. This pen is extremely high quality, without any major defects and hatch with black skin!
Pen 3 is our gold laced project/variety pen. This pen has a Partridge roo and a modified frizzle gold Rooster over a variety of gorgeous hens including several satins. This pen includes, red Pyle, partridge, lavender, calico color-ways and several other color ways. These birds MAY hatch with faults.
Pen 4 is our Silver Pencil Laced Satin pen. These birds are absolutely beautiful but still a project. One of our roosters in this pen is a naked neck! Frizzle, silkie, satin, and necked necks are all possible from this pen.
Remember these are BREEDER quality. HOWEVER please be aware that all satins are mixes of Cochins and silkies. Some satins MAY hatch with skin that is not completely black or with 4 toes. Please be aware of this in advance, when hatching satins.
NPIP & AI certified farm located in north Florida. We test for fertility monthly and keep at least 1 rooster per 6 hens to ensure fertility in all our flocks. We CANNOT guarantee your hatch rate. Shipping hatching eggs is a gamble. Please DO NOT purchase our hatching eggs if you don’t understand the perils of shipping hatching eggs. We do our very best to collect and package them so that you have a great hatch rate. But we CANNOT control the post office.

Please do not wash your eggs prior to incubating them. In general, we recommend incubating your eggs at 100F at a humidity of 40-45%. After 7 days candle your eggs and discard any that do not show growth. At day 18 candle your eggs again. At this time place all the developing eggs into lockdown at a humidity of 50-60%. They should hatch within a couple days, usually by day 21 of incubation.
Please make sure to be prepared prior to incubating your eggs on good hatching practices! I cannot replace your eggs due to a bad hatch.
