An original Super Cinecolor preview to the George Montgomery western “Indian Uprising” 1952 co-starring Audrey Long, Carl Benton Reid, Joe Sawyer, Robert Shayne, Eddie Waller, Douglas Kennedy and Eugene Iglesias. Based on actual Army records of war against the Apache and Geronimo.
One of the few 1950’s features produced in the Super Cinecolor three color process which was 25% cheaper than IB Technicolor. After the release of “Indian Uprising” and a handful movies, the Cinecolor film company was sold in 1952 to the Donner investment group becoming Color Corporation of America. Super Cinecolor equipment was sold and ceased processing in early 1954 making this print somewhat rare.
Trailer has great picture contrast and sound running about 2 minutes. The preview has the feel of a John Ford classic. Very good original print is mounted on a plastic core hub.
