$42.99

Hi,

Here are (4) 75-gram packs ofAli Shan Heavy Roasted Tie Guan Yin Taiwanese Oolong Tea from the Spring of 2025 for sale.

Alishan Heavy Roasted Tie Guan Yin combines high-mountain tea leaves from Alishan with traditional heavy-fermentation and heavy-roasting techniques, resulting in a unique, rich, and full-bodied flavor profile. The tea leaves undergo an intricate process involving heavy fermentation and prolonged heavy roasting over charcoal. The tea liquor is a deep amber color, featuring scents of honeyed ripe fruit, caramel sweetness, and wood notes. It offers a rich mouthfeel and a lingering honey-like sweetness in the throat, with the signature \"Guanyin Rhyme\"(觀音韻) -a distinctive, enduring finish that persists long after drinking.

The vacuum-sealed packs allow the tea to continue to develop. It will be less astringent and become more mellow and smooth. This tea can continue to evolve for 2 or more years as long as the package remains sealed.

** Bonus **

I will include samples of Taiwanese high mountain tea.

When you receive the tea, please try one pack. If you are not satisfied, just let me know and process a return through . You can keep the open pack.

Brewing Guide:

If you have the time, I highly recommend brewing oolong tea (or any Chinese tea) gong fu style because you can taste the difference and it really opens up the tea. In the evening especially, I use a Yixing clay teapot to wind down a long day. You can use 5 or so grams of tea for a small teapot, or you can use a ratio of 25 to 1, teapot volume to tea leaves. For example, if your teapot is 200 ml, use 8 grams of tea. Adjust according to your personal preference. Other times, I just use a mug about 12 ounces or so. I take a nice pinch of tea leaves, about 6-8 leaves and pour boiling water that cooled for a couple of minutes into the mug. Let the tea cool for a bit and then enjoy! Adjust the amount of tea leaves according to your taste. Add hot water for up to two more times if you like.
