An attractive collection of four antique volumes from the 1820 London edition of Samuel Richardson's celebrated eighteenth-century novel.
Volumes Included: IV, V, VI, and VII of the original seven-volume edition.
The books feature handsome matching half-leather bindings with gilt-decorated raised-band spines, gilt lettering, contrasting light-colored boards, and beautifully patterned multicolored marbled endpapers.
A charming group of early nineteenth-century English literature, suitable for collectors, antique book displays, or decorative library shelving.
Condition: Antique condition with age-related rubbing, scuffing, and wear to the leather bindings, including wear at the spine ends, corners, and joints. One volume exhibits more pronounced leather loss along the spine edge. Interior pages are generally clean and legible, with scattered foxing and occasional age-related spotting. Please examine all photographs for details of the bindings and interior condition.
