For sale is the Explanatory Bible Atlas and Scripture Gazetteer by Reverend William Jenks, 4th edition, published 1849 by Charles Hickling. Embossed cloth hardcover with leather spine; title is lettered in gold on front cover and along spine. Measures about 12 3/4" tall and about 10 3/4" wide.
Good overall antique condition as shown (all photos provided are of the exact volume available for sale). Some wear to covers including some areas of staining and discoloration, wear to edges and corners, and cracks along spine hinges. Leather binding along spine is a bit fragile. Binding still intact, loose at hinges. Pages are good overall for age, looks to be missing a flyleaf page evidenced by some tearing at page base as well as some shadows/stains from ink. Some foxing and discoloration to pages in places; maps/plates have yellowed a bit as shown.
