Up for sale/sale is an authentic Victorian Great Britain postal stationery envelope (cut-out stamp format) addressed to Edinburgh, dated November 1852.
Item Details:- Front: Addressed in handwritten manuscript script to \"Thos Ranken Esq, S.S.C., Queen Street, Edinr\" (Edinburgh). Features an octagonal 1d Pink Embossed stamp cut-out (\"POSTAGE ONE PENNY\") cancelled with a barred numeral postmark.- Back Cancellations / Postmarks: - Inverness circular date stamp \"INVERNESS NOV 17 1852\". - Additional green receiver mark on the reverse. - Embossed paper seal on the reverse flap.- Condition: Antique condition dating to 1852. Shows minor tears along the top flap, light edge wear, and faint pencil collector annotations on the front left. Please examine photos closely for full condition details.
