Original 1854 British patent lithograph titled "A.D. 1812. April 30. No. 3558. Manton's Specification." Depicts detailed engineering views of an early Manton sporting shotgun and firing mechanism. Printed on laid paper, with laid lines visible when held to light. Lower margin reads: "London: Printed by George Edward Eyre and William Spottiswoode, Printers to the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty. 1854." Lower right bears "Malby & Sons, Lith." Malby & Sons prepared the lithographic plate, while Eyre & Spottiswoode printed the official British Patent Office publication. Approx. 21.5" x 15.5".
