1866 Centenary Pictorial Album Early History Methodism Maryland Long Family Book:
$99.00
Centenary Pictorial Album: Contributions of the Early History of Methodism in the State of Maryland by George C.M. Roberts, M.D. D.D., printed by J.W. Woods in 1866. This rare first edition features a personalized hardcover binding for the Long family and includes extensive interior inscriptions detailing its provenance. The notes indicate the book was purchased directly from the author by Benjamin Long, an official at Broadway M.E. Church in Baltimore, after a Sunday service. Richly illustrated with lithographs of historical figures and locations like Elizabeth Asbury and the Log Meeting House, this volume contains unique handwritten genealogical and community details, making it an exceptional primary source for Maryland religious history.
