Baker & Record were Saratoga's resident photographers, and these are the hometown issues of the resort at its height: the Columbian Spring pavilion — interior, with the crowd drinking the waters at the counter, and exterior with its signage — a bird's-eye view of Congress Park, the great hotels, piazza and colonnade views, fountains, and the park monument. Saratoga's springs were the attraction: visitors queued at these pavilions to drink the mineral waters, and the interior views document the water-cure era in action.
