Rare original 1874 first separate edition of William Crookes\'s \"Researches in The Phenomena of Spiritualism.\" The book is overall in good condition with some signs of wear and age. The covers have some mild wear with some sunning to the spine & some wear to the cloth along the length as well as a little loss of cloth at the extremities. There is some cracking to the interior hinges, but the binding is still good and sound. An old 1902 article entitled \"Letters from William Crookes\" is folded up & tipped in at the front pastedown. The interior is lightly toned from age with some occasional foxing, soiling and grubbiness. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection such as a creased page corner, minor interior crack, tiny chip or tear, etc. The book measures approximately 8 3/4 inches by 5 3/4 inches and is 112 pages long.
