Dr. Martin Luther\'s German translation, containing the Old and New Testaments with the Apocrypha, concordance and marginal parallels, with an introduction by Rev. A. Martin (Pennsylvania College). Large-format volume bound in embossed gilt leather with \"Die Heilige Schrift\" gilt-lettered on the spine; engraved Martin Luther frontispiece and color plates (plates copyrighted 1872 by A. J. Holman & Co.). CONDITION (honest, photo-based): covers show honest age wear - leather darkened and rubbed, worn corners and edges; spine leather cracked and worn at the hinges; page block heavily toned/browned from age; light foxing and edge soiling on the title page. Binding holds together; no detached covers and no loose pages visible in the photos. Not all pages were photographed, so this is a photo-limited condition assessment.
