Approximate size of each volume: 13" × 10.5" × 2–3" thick.
The set includes:

- Vol. II – Birds
- Vol. III – Fishes, Reptiles, etc.
Beautifully produced throughout with numerous full-page color plates, full-page wood engravings, and black-and-white illustrations within the text. The color plates remain especially attractive, with strong color and detailed depictions of mammals, birds, and other wildlife.
All three volumes retain their matching original decorative bindings with embossed designs and gilt decoration. A substantial and visually impressive Victorian natural-history set.
Condition: Very Good for its age. Bindings are solid and stable. Exterior shows age-appropriate rubbing, edge wear, and wear/fraying at the spine ends. Interiors are generally clean, bright, and well preserved. Color plates and illustrations remain vivid and attractive.
