Antique Rosenthal Savoy Delft ca. 1898 - 1906 Dating back approximately 110-120 years, this lovely antique plate would make a perfect gift or a fine addition to your own collection. Beautifully hand painted, it is an elegant study depicting a tranquil waterfront scene featuring a village, boats and bridge over the water. Created from an asymmetrical, pierced porcelain blank, Rosenthal’s Savoy Delft is distinguished by its eye catching, free form shape. The mold features three rounded sides, a wave-shaped cut away, a graceful scroll pattern that follows the rim of the plate and piercings along the top half. The marks on the underside are for Rosenthal & Co of Germany and the Savoy Delft pattern. According to Kovel\'s Dictionary of Marks , this mark was in use from 1898 until 1906 and is one of the earliest used by Rosenthal.
DIMENSIONS: This plate measures approximately 8.5 inches in diameter and 1 inch high.Beautiful Condition: No chips, No cracks, No crazing. No scratches found on plate when tilted in the light. There\'s a little brown dot under the glaze on front left side of plate above the bridge. From a smoke free family estate.
