An antique natural history and bird book featuring upwards of 120 illustrations from photographs taken directly from nature by Cherry and Richard Kearton, pioneers of early wildlife photography.
Bound in a handsome half-leather binding with gilt lettering and decorative gilt tooling to the spine.
Condition: Antique condition with noticeable age and wear. Leather shows rubbing, scuffing, edge wear and losses, especially at the top of the spine and corners. Boards show additional wear. Pages have age toning and scattered foxing/spotting, including heavier spotting on some preliminary pages. Please review all photos carefully for condition.
