Antique Syria Shrine souvenir goblet commemorating the 1908 Imperial Council Session held in St. Paul, Minnesota. The front features the Syria Temple name, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, beneath the Shriners crescent-and-star emblem with a scimitar banner reading “SYRIA.” The reverse is engraved “St. Paul, Minn. 1908.”
The amethyst purple glass insert is mounted in an ornate metal holder decorated with a sheaf of wheat, crossed scimitars forming the handles, and a black molded base. This is an attractive early 20th-century piece of Shriners and Masonic memorabilia.
Measures 5 1/4 inches tall x 3 1/2 inches wide.
Very good antique condition. The glass is free of chips and cracks. Expected age-related wear and minor finish loss to the metal mount are present, along with light wear from over a century of age. No maker’s mark was found on the underside.
