This massive collection of Lincoln cents will have 2 out of the 5 key date coins,1909s and 1931s.The Dansco albums are universallly considered the best for coin collectors. These albums have slots for ALL of the LIncoln cents unlike the majority of Lincoln offerings on which use folders like Harris, etc. There is no slot for the 1922 plain LIncoln which happens to be the second most expensive of the coins in the series. Also, these Dansco ALBUMS show the front and back of each coin. With the other offerings in folders, you see only the front so in effect you are buying half of a set. You cannot see the reverse of any of the coins so how can you see any imperfections on the back? Sellers usually list these sets by how many of the key date coins are not in them. You MUST realize that there can never be a completed LIncoln series in these types of folders, like Harris and when you compare the 1922 plain is not in them and there is a consderable increase in cost to add the 1922 plain, which runs around $400 to buy..You must figure this accurately as there are way too many folders which you can stop considering for purchase immediately because of what I have just said.From 1909 through 1943, the coins will grade between good to very fine.You will find this set to be unique in that ALL of the coins are of Excellent Quality with mostly ALL of them beingRed Brilliant Uncirculated coins from 1944 through 2025. As with many Lincoln cents, there is some degree of toning on some of the coins but I do not believe that they detract from the overall quality of this set.
The specialty coins that you receive in this set are the 1965,1966,and 1967 sms(special mint set)coins,the 1960 small date coin, and the 1982 7 coin variety of coins which are smalland large date zinc and copper coins. There are no spaces for proof coins in this Dansco 7100 albumI have personally purchased and placed these coins within the album carefully with use of cotton gloves.P.S. I have just finished my daily review of comparable albums listed on and I found what I usually do...There are NO COMPARABLE SETS TO THIS SET
