This is 1910–1920s linen walking jacket with the hand embroidery and long sleeves. The jacket is in amazing wearable condition, survived perfectly. It has two buttonholes on both front sides and could be closed with the brooch or a ribbon on your desire. The linen is ivory grayish in color, natural linen color, medium weight, great quality, doesn’t have any thinning. It’s dense, not like modern loose thread linen, but drapes beautifully. Gets wrinkled easy through like the modern. It’s a beauty of the linen to become a shell of your body :-). The measurements:
Bust 42”, length 31”, sleeves length 23”, between the shoulders 15”. I’m assuming it’s like modern USA size M. The burgundy mannequin is set to size 10, the black mannequin is size 4.
The jacket doesn’t have any flaws, no rips, holes, spots, odors. Washed and pressed to the best of my abilities :-)!
