1913-D Barber Quarter – CACG AU58 – WitterBrick Pedigree
A lovely 1913-D Barber quarter graded AU58 by CACG (CAC Grading), with the WitterBrick pedigree printed on the label. The back of the holder carries a signed label noting the coin was hand-selected by a co-founder of CAC Grading.
CACG is a full grading service in its own right and is widely regarded as the strictest of the major graders. Denver struck just 1,450,800 Barber quarters in 1913, three years before the design was retired.
About the grade
AU58 is the highest About Uncirculated grade: just a trace of friction on the highest points, with nearly full original luster. Many collectors see an AU58 as the best value in a series, since it looks nearly Mint State for much less money. See the photos for the actual coin.
