౨ৎ Length: 55” approx. Extraordinary theatrical opera cape from Western Costume Co., the historic Hollywood costume house. Victorian/Edwardian revival. The exterior is a luminous peach velvet, likely silk velvet. It is fully lined in glossy pale gold satin and finished at the neckline with decorative corded trim and ties.In fair vintage condition. This is a fragile vintage costume textile and is best suited for study or display rather than regular wear. The velvet is substantially shattering and deteriorating, with areas of splitting, tears, extensive pile loss, and several larger holes, particularly toward the lower portions and hem.
