Large vintage black-and-white photographic enlargement depicting a United Air Lines Douglas DC3 at historic Burbank Airport, California. The original image dates to approximately 1933–1939. Backing is stamped “John Shadle, Photographer, 1221 No. Valley St., Burbank, Calif. 91506.” Shadle is independently documented as an aviation photographer at Burbank Airport in 1939. This appears to be a later photographer-produced silver-gelatin enlargement from his original prewar negative, framed after 1963. Approximately 16 × 20 inches, in its older wood frame.
Condition: some surface scratches, but can be professionally touched up.
