San Francisco in ’37 — 34.5 million made. That small S under the date is what makes the ’37 set tricky. This one made it out of California and kept its honesty.
Obverse — IN GOD WE TRUST along the top rim, LIBERTY on the left, 1937 with a small S just below on the lower right — San Francisco Mint. The profile shows even, honest wear — cheek, hair, shoulder line — nothing stripped, nothing buffed.
Reverse — E PLURIBUS UNUM across the top, ONE CENT right in the middle, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and OF AMERICA underneath, two wheat stalks on either side framing it. Lettering is still bold, wheat grains still show on both sides.
Even brown, original surfaces, never cleaned. The kind of S-mint that looks right next to a Philly and a Denver without screaming for attention.
Photos are originals, enlarged for detail but untouched — what is pictured is what arrives.
