1951 Ford " Color Buck " Sportsman Green For Sale

This model was cast from the original mold used in 1950 to show how a color will look on the 1951 Ford Convertible .It is big at over 22 inches long a almost 9 inches wide . The condition is excellent and the detail is fantastic . I understandmodels like this were made from ceramic or fiberglass . Earlier ones through the years were wood, plastic, clay and othermediums . This one cast of fiberglass was to demonstrate the color Sportsman Green . The original box states that . And It will come inthe original box including Styrofoam pieces that cradle the car . These models were sent to Ford executives for their approval on colorproposals . It's hefty and the fiberglass is thick . The outside has been buffed and treatedto a smooth finish to accept the paint . I'm not sure why my photos have a fuzzy look but the car itself is sharp and beautiful . A few I found on the internet years ago were Red. and Blue and the Sportsman Green . Try as I will I can't find those photos today . The convertible top looks and feels like it should . The tires and wheel covers look as they should , The chrome and trim look great . The proportions and measurements needed to be just right on these models so that the executives could see really how Sportsman Green would look on the car . My photos shot in natural light .
