Description
The purchase price is for the exact ONE proof set show here. Set is complete, intact and 100% original. Coins are untoned to very lightly toned. Original cellophane fingers are still stapled and are intact, even though they are crinkly, discolored a bit and rather delicate.
It is tough to see through the cellophane, but the quarter is the scarce and popular \'Superbird\' variety with the mysterious \'S\' on the eagle\'s breast. It was nearly impossible to get a clear picture of this \'S\' detail, but I finally got the lighting and the camera to just the right angle to snap a decent picture.
It is practically impossible to find an original INTACT 1952 proof set these days with the Superbird quarter because these invariably get removed for certification. I personally prefer originality, so this set is offered still intact. It may be a while before a comparable set hits .
