These tailgate links will fit your 1954-1987 Stepside Chevy Truck. Built out of 100% stainless steel, these are designed to be out of the box ready for installation. These are able to be fully disassembled for cleaning, polishing, or paint. All stainless steel hardware included. Links have a TUMBLED stainless steel finish.
Tailgate requires modification and holes must be drilled for from the center of the tailgate pivot, measure towards the top of the tailgate 10 1/4". Make a mark and line up the center of the 2 bolt bracket. Mark both holes onto the tailgate and drill each hole at 1/4". For the bedside, take a measurement from the center of the tailgate pivot upward towards the top of the bed. Make a mark at 13 1/8". Drill a 1/4" hole and install the upper pivot pin.mark/measure where your tailgate needs to be trimmed TO CLEAR. Trim accordingly.
