For sale is my 1965 Chevrolet K10 4x4, powered by a 292ci inline-six backed by a 4-speed manual transmission.
This is a genuine early Chevrolet 4x4 with a great combination of originality, upgrades and old-school character. It hasn’t been turned into another LS-swapped restomod. The 292, manual transmission and vintage 4WD drivetrain are a big part of what makes this truck interesting.

The 292 inline-six is a particularly cool part of this truck. It’s the larger Chevrolet straight-six and gives the truck the torque, sound and character you’d expect from an old-school 4x4. Paired with the 4-speed manual, it’s a combination you don’t see nearly as often as a small-block-swapped truck.
The interior has been redone and presents very nicely, but isn’t perfect. The new wood bed looks excellent and, along with the visor and overall stance, gives the truck a ton of presence.
Condition
This is a very nice driver, not a freshly completed frame-off restoration, and I’m representing it accordingly.
Like most nearly 60-year-old trucks, there are areas that could be improved if the next owner wanted to take it to show-quality condition. There is some localized rust/bubbling and deterioration in several typical body/seam areas. I’ve included photos so buyers can judge the condition for themselves and am happy to provide more.
I’m not trying to hide those areas or describe the truck as something it isn’t.
At the same time, this isn’t being sold as a restoration project. It’s a complete, running and driving early K10 that presents extremely well and can be enjoyed now while deciding what—if anything—you want to improve later.
Why I’m Selling
These early factory 4x4 Chevrolet pickups are getting harder to find, especially ones that still retain the vintage drivetrain and personality that made them desirable in the first place.
I’ve enjoyed the truck and had plans for additional improvements, but I’ve decided to let the next owner decide where to take it.
