A really neat variety hiding in an original U.S. Mint Set.
This 1970 Uncirculated Mint Set includes the desirable 1970-S Small Date Lincoln cent, one of the key modern Lincoln cent varieties and considerably tougher to find than the regular Large Date issue.
The best part here is the presentation—the Small Date cent is still sealed in the original San Francisco Mint cellophane alongside the other coins, with the original Treasury Department envelope included.
Highlights:
• Genuine 1970-S Small Date Lincoln cent
• Complete 1970 U.S. Uncirculated Mint Set
• Coins remain sealed in the original Mint packaging
• Original Treasury Department envelope included
• Desirable Lincoln cent variety in its original government-issued set
• 18 sets available, all containing the 1970-S Small Date cent
• Packaging and individual coin appearance may vary slightly from set to set
These sets have been stored for more than five decades, so the outer envelopes may show normal age, handling, writing, or storage wear. The Mint packaging remains intact as shown.

There’s something especially cool about finding a recognized variety still sitting exactly where the Mint packaged it in 1970. A great addition for the Lincoln cent variety collector, Mint Set collector, or anyone who appreciates coins with a little more story behind them.
