RARE 1970s French Artisan Brutalist Necklace by La Tappy - Signed

For sale is an authentic vintage 1970s La Tappy handmade brutalist necklace. This is the French studio known for sculptural alloy, sterling silver and brass jewelry with a distinctive modernist / brutalist aesthetic.



This piece features:

_ Maker: La Tappy (signed LATAPPY on back of pendant mount and on bail - see photo 3)

_ Era: Circa 1970s, French artisan studio

_ Design: 3-bar angular collar choker with paperclip chain. Lower bar is double-wire with suspended pendant

_ Pendant: Bezel-set natural stone - grey-blue agate / picture jasper with natural veining, in sculptural cup setting with wire handle detail

_ Metal: Hand-forged patinated mixed metal, listed in archival examples as Sterling Silver and Brass. Tests as silver tone, oxidized finish, unpolished as found.
