Original 1971 Earl Newman hand-pulled silkscreen poster created for the 3rd Concord Summer Festival in Concord, California.
This is an original period silkscreen—not a modern reproduction or mass-produced poster. The artwork is by noted California poster artist Earl Newman and features his distinctive hand-drawn style: a dramatic elongated trumpet player silhouetted against a vivid orange, pink and lavender/blue background, with stars, flowers and hand-rendered festival lettering.
The poster advertises the 3rd Concord Summer Festival, held August 6–8 and August 13–15, 1971.

CONDITION:
This is an original 55-year-old festival poster and does show age and condition issues. There is creasing, edge and corner wear, small edge losses/nicks, surface wear and evidence of previous mounting/tape on the reverse. Please review all photographs carefully, including the close-up images and reverse, as they are an important part of the condition description.
Despite the age-related wear, the poster displays remarkably well. The central artwork remains visually striking and the silkscreen colors retain excellent presence. No restoration or conservation has been attempted.
A scarce surviving piece of early Concord music-festival history and an excellent example of Earl Newman's distinctive hand-pulled poster work.
