Very rare signed and numbered print/lithograph of the great Secretariat by Richard Stone Reeves. This is the 1973 version (there is also a 1987 version), and this is by far the most valuable because of its age. This was printed in 1973 by Newmarket Gallery and is numbered 836/850 and is signed in pencil by Richard Stone Reeves. Plus, this is also signed by trainer Lucien Laurin, who passed away in 2000, and jockey Ron Turcotte, who passed away in 2025. This comes with a letter of authenticity from JSA/James Spence.
The lithograph is about 22.5\"x24\" and the overall frame is about 33.5\"x 32.5\". This appears to be a fairly recent framing and is professionally done with double matting. The frame is a mid-level type frame (like you would find at Michaels or Hobby Lobby) and it appears to be plexiglass in front rather than actual glass. It weighs about 11 pounds.
The frame appears to be in like new condition, and the lithograph is also in great condition. It is 53 years old, so there is maybe just a touch of age-related toning and it\'s not quite the bright white background that it would have originally had, but it is perfectly centered and has no creasing, marks, waviness, etc. This is a true gem. Please ignore any shadows or glare in the photos.
