Studio publicists routinely distributed promotional items-including movie tie-in paperbacks, press kits, and script treatments-to members of the press , theater owners, and local media contacts often slipping in a quick note of “regards”. The placing of the note at the edge would have made this stick out of the book to catch someone’s attention. I have no authentication of this particular book being such but my research into this tells me this is a piece of 1970s Hollywood marketing history . Buyer pays shipping.
