NOW THIS IS COOL!Here is a rare original March 1979 SCHWINN STINGRAY 20" BICYCLE! (CQ Serial Number Head badge SN appears to be 1379) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!) This is one of the coolest bikes made by Schwinn! They look cool and are great riding bikes!
*The bike is in the original and very appealing SILVER MIST and Radiant RED factory painted color. (the SAME frame as a 1971 Schwinn Grey Ghost Krate with a different serial number!) This bike is loaded with cool original parts! This one has MX style handlebars, cool grips, original neck, 5-speed neck/stem mounted STICK SHIFTER with hand controlled brakes, (brakes are operable. May need fine tuning adjustment. Will need a shift cable) Super unusual Schwinn "bread box" seat, (decent condition) unique SHOCKS rear sissy bar, factory color matched fenders, Schwinn reflector pedals, Suntour derailleur, and everything you see. Has a cool mag sprocket and hard to find 5-speed "reverse screen" chainguard. It has the original chrome Schwinn double knurled S-2 rear rim and a chrome Schwinn front rim. Both front and rear tires hold air. The rear is a Schwinn Stingray tire! Has chrome brake calipers as shown.
*I BELIEVE THIS BIKE TO BE BASICALLY 100% ORIGINAL PARTS FROM WHEN IT WAS NEW! (see pics and be your own judge) I got this bike a couple years ago from the original owner in Oshkosh, Wisconsin!

If you check out , the selection on any 1960s Stingray bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! *NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it. It is not 100% flawless but is ok for a 50+ year old boys bike! I love the fact that this one still wears its original paint! (has chips scratches etc) The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. (wheel chrome etc shows age) Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) These bikes rarely come along! Better than money in the bank! You will LOVE this bike! ENJOY! I took lots of pics and have nothing to hide. *Sorry for the LONG description, these bikes really excite me. Sold as is because it is used. I try to list anything I notice with the bike. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without insurance.
*SHIPPING TIME I ship bikes on Tuesdays and Fridays via Fed Ex. Generally, if I receive your payment by 1 pm central time on Monday, it allows me enough time to get your bike to the shop for packing and to ship along with the Tuesday AM shipment. If I receive your payment by 1 pm central time on Thursday, it gives enough time to have it packed and ship Friday AM. If paid after that time, please expect it to go out with the next shipment.
*SHIPPING COSTS: Fed Ex, USPS, as well as UPS have recently raised their shipping rates due to the higher cost of fuel. Sorry for the slight increase in shipping costs.
