Original vintage Whitesnake “Reading 80” embroidered patch commemorating the band’s appearance at the 1980 Reading Rock Festival in England. Whitesnake headlined and closed the Sunday, August 24 lineup, following acts including Def Leppard, Slade, Budgie, Magnum, Tygers of Pan Tang and Angel Witch. Period collector examples document this distinctive coiled-snake Reading ’80 design, and similar band-specific embroidered patches are known from the festival. This example has borderless construction with embroidery directly on black fabric. Reverse shows the original embroidery work. A scarce piece of early Whitesnake and British hard-rock festival memorabilia.
Condition Notes: Vintage condition with visible age and wear. Upper-right corner has a small clipped/notched area and small adjacent split in the black fabric. Some loose/frayed threads and general textile wear are present. Main Whitesnake, snake and Reading 80 embroidery remains intact and clearly visible. No repairs have been made.
