A classic vintage privately-issued silver round from 1982. The obverse features a finely detailed American bald eagle in flight, with the weight and purity inscribed in both English and French: "999 FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT FIN 999." The reverse displays a map of North America with a Hawaii inset and the Monex International Ltd. hallmark. A recognizable, harder-to-find vintage round that stands apart from modern generic bullion.

- Obverse: Bald eagle in flight, bilingual weight / fineness

Condition
Uncirculated. These 1982 rounds were originally struck with a proof-like finish, frosted devices set against mirror-like fields. Over four decades of storage those mirrored fields have mellowed to a softer, frosted satin appearance, giving these vintage rounds their distinctive look today. Strikes remain full and sharp with minimalwear to the design. As is normal for vintage rounds kept in bulk, coins show scattered contact marks and fine hairlines in the fields, and some show light haze or minor spotting / toning as pictured. Photos are representative of the lot.
About the Round
Monex International issued these rounds in 1982, four years before the U.S. Mint launched the American Silver Eagle. Private-mint rounds from this era were how many American investors first bought physical .999 silver, and surviving examples in original uncirculated condition have become steadily harder to find as they are melted, stamped, or absorbed into long-term collections. The bilingual inscription and North America map reverse make this one of the more distinctive designs of the period.

100% Positive Please note: Photos are representative of the lot; you will receive a round equal in quality to those shown, not the exact piece pictured. These are vintage rounds kept in bulk and will show scattered contact marks, fine hairlines, and in some cases light haze or toning; the originally mirror-like fields have mellowed to a frosted satin appearance with age. All bullion items are final sale. Because precious metals prices move with the live market, orders cannot be returned or cancelled once confirmed, but you are always welcome to sell items back to us at our current buyback price.
