1991-1995 Jeep YJ Wrangler "Plastic" tank w/ rectangle sending unit hole For Sale

TREX00651991-1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ 20 gallon gas tank with integrated fuel bowl.Replaces original 20 gallon plastic tank with the 2.5L and 4.0L engine(this tank will replace original 15 gallon PLASTIC tank w/ rectangle sending unit hole). Includes new gasket and (2)new upper straps.This tank will directly replace Domestic model #'s 52002633 & 52018287. These #'s are either stamped into the tank or there is a white sticker.This tank will NOT directly replace export model #'s 52018779, 52019226, 52007258 or 52002622 -a new skid plate and sending unit are required. The filler and vent hoses may need to be spliced and elongated as well.Some early 1987-1990 Jeep YJ20 gallon plastic fuel tanks had an open ended skid plate without the rolled heat shield over the exhaust pipe, we recommend replacing the skid plate as an exhaust/heat shield safety precaution (TREXYJSP-20). We also recommend replacing the fill (TREXYJFH-1) and vent (TREXYJVH-1) hoses to prevent possible fitment issues with the new skid plate.

Approx. tank measurements(LxWxH): 33" x 18 1/4" x 11 3/4"*.*The tank measurements are approximate and should be used as a guide to what other parts may be required. Stating "the tank is the wrong size" does not qualify as the "wrong" tank. There is only one quality replacement tank in the aftermarket for the Jeep YJ Wranglers and this is it. With that said, Jeep made at least six "versions" of this tank over the nine years of production i.e. a little shorter, a little narrower and/or the filler/vent neck is a little lower on the tank. These variances are possible so if your 1987-1995 Jeep YJ Wrangler has a plastic tank with a rectangle sending unit hole opening, this is the closest reproduction tank option available. Warranty

This tank is covered bya five-year warranty. MTS polyethylene gas tanks are warranted to the originalpurchaser for a period of five years from the date of purchase. We will replaceany tank shown within five years from the date of purchase to be defective inmaterials or workmanship. No other warranty is made or expressed or implied.Our liability shall be limited to the cost of replacing the tank. No laborcost, loss, expense or lost opportunity suffered or incurred by any person orentity directly or indirectly arising from the use of any of our products isincluded or covered by this warranty. Parts other than tanks supplied by MTSCompany, L.C. are covered by the above terms except that the period of coverageshall be one year. The use of any tank or other part on a vehicle other thanthe model it was designed for voids this and any other warranty coverage and isneither recommended nor encouraged.

This tank is alsocovered by a lifetime warranty against rust. MTS polyethylene gas tanks areguaranteed against rust through of the tank for as long as the originalpurchaser owns the vehicle on which it was originally installed.
