James Rizzi’s Fruit and Candy, a colorful 1997 hand-cut silkscreen with three-dimensional construction from the Funny Faces I suite. The accompanying 1997 documentation states that the image was drawn by Rizzi and printed by the printer, with Rizzi hand-painting the master and supervising the color separations. The resulting printed “flats” were then hand-cut at the artist’s studio and assembled with thickness to create the dimensional construction.
The documentation records an edition of 350 numbered impressions, 50 artist’s proofs, and an additional Roman-numbered edition of 100.
Also included is one vintage “Greetings from James Rizzi” sticker, acquired with the Rizzi material.
Condition
Artwork appears bright and well preserved, with the dimensional elements intact and showing good depth. Unframed.
Documentation sheet has fold creases from storage. Sticker retains its backing. Please review all photographs, including the angled and close-up images showing the three-dimensional construction.
